The Data Gap

ADK Marketing Spend

More than 100 years ago, department store pioneer John Wanamaker famously said: "Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted; the trouble is I don't know which half."

A century later, businesses have Google Analytics, CRMs, AI, dashboards, attribution tools, and more marketing data than ever before.

So why are so many business owners still asking the same question?

"Are we spending money in the right places?"

At ADK, one of the first things we do isn't launch a campaign.  It's look at the data.

Not because we're looking for impressive dashboards. Because we're looking for answers. Can we see where leads are coming from? Can we measure what's actually driving business? Can we connect marketing activity to business results?

More often than not, the answer is...not really.

Google Analytics isn't configured correctly. Conversion tracking is incomplete. The CRM (if one is there) doesn't connect to marketing.

Leads are coming in, but nobody knows where they originated.

Marketing decisions are being made with incomplete information.

Data shouldn't exist to justify marketing. It should exist to inform better business decisions.

Sometimes the best marketing decision isn't launching another campaign. It's fixing the foundation first. Once you know what's working (and just as importantly, what isn't) you stop guessing and start making better decisions.

The goal isn't more reports. It's confidence. Confidence that your marketing dollars are being invested in the right places.

Because the businesses that grow the fastest aren't always the ones spending the most.

They're the ones making the best decisions.
